A model building and management system using predicate calculus and relational framework

A Decision Support System (DSS) is an interactive system that helps a decision maker with utilizing data and models to solve a new and relatively unstructural problem. Models are used as representations in the decision making process at all levels. A model building , and management system is presented in this paper in which modelling knowledge is added to Model Management System (MMS) with relational framework, and an appropriate modeling technique is identified through predicate calculus. Models are represented as predicates. For an unknow problem environment, the decision maker can directly make modeling by means of the system. This system is implemented in PROLOG and applied to build manpower planning models.
