Two phase distribution system for railways

Under electrical power transmission or distribution is mostly understand a three phase system. In the railway we can find also single phase and even two phase systems. Because the two phase systems is so unusual and it open many technical challenges, this paper would like to introduce a 2×25kV autotransformer traction system with higher focus on the protection schemes.
