High-precision phase-shifting and attenuating module for C band satellite

In this paper, a high-precision digital phase-shifting and attenuating module for satellite phased array antenna is introduced. With hybrid integration of the beam lead PIN diodes, the RT/Duroid 5880 laminates, the packaged driving devices, the module achieves high-precision phase-shifting and attenuating characteristics, small insertion loss, high linearity and good flatness of amplitude and phase, etc. The entire module has the front side and the back side. The front side consists of the phase shifter, the attenuator, the isolator and the equalizer. The back side consists of the drivers and the control circuits. In order to meet the requirements of high reliability and environmental test for satellite applications, sealing process of laser welding are adopted.
