Effect of impedance and frequency variation on insertion loss for a typical power line filter

The main question examined in this work is: how does the performance of a typical power line filter vary as the source and load impedances vary? This is examined for the frequency range of 50 kHz to 500 MHz. Experimental results of common mode and differential mode insertion loss are provided that can be used to anticipate product performance. Preliminary results are also provided of efforts to use PSPICE to simulate the common mode and differential mode insertion loss for typical power line filters.
