An investigation of permittivity measurement of material with new open cavity at MMW band

A new open cavity is proposed and used to measure the permittivity of dielectric material at millimeter wave band. The transcendental equation from that the dielectric constant can be determined is presented. Experiment is carried out; the measured data are presented and compared to that of conventional open cavity.
