Abstract:
The topic of "transactive energy" (TE) has received more and more attention over the past 18 months. For example, it has been a part of the New York Reforming the Energy Vision discussions and the topic of activities such as the National Institute of Standards (NIST) TE Challenge. This growing discussion stems, in part, from the realization that new approaches are needed to efficiently and reliably integrate growing numbers of distributed energy resources (DERs).
