Study on lightning characteristics of mountain transmission line

Lightning accident is an important cause of transmission line failure. Although the study on lightning characteristics of transmission line have conducted a lot both at home and abroad, safe and reliable operation of the transmission line must depend on the design of tower grounding and lightning protection measures according to the structural characteristics of the transmission line itself. In this paper, the researchers study the transmission line in Qinglong mountain area and carry out the relevant fundamental research and analysis on the mountains lightning performance of transmission line, which provides a reference for design and operation of transmission line mountain area.
