Passive mode-locking in multisegment laser diode with an external fiber cavity

Summary form only given. Among different methods of ultra-short light pulse generation using LDs passive mode-locking is the simplest one. The present work was devoted to R&D of small-size DC-pumped source of NIR ps light pulses based on multisegment GaAlAs LD with external SM fiber cavity.
