MHz-Through-THz (MTT) Challenges and Opportunities [President's Column]

Our technology and our community continue to lead the world toward the next horizon of innovations through evergrowing exploration of millimeter-wave technologies and applications such as the looming fifth generation (5G) of wireless systems. These advances are propelled all the further by a growing Internet of Things (IoT)-or what many are calling an Internet of Everything-that is creating a smartly interconnected world. The essential features of the IoT will surely integrate the functions of wireless communication and wireless sensing, making its deployment ubiquitous.
