Model based identification of the iron loss resistance of an induction machine

Advanced models of the induction machine including the iron losses are needed for energy efficient control strategies or motor parameter adaptation procedures in field oriented control. In the paper a novel identification method, preferably for offline application, is described which works inside the field oriented control scheme with no special need to exclude the friction losses from the measuring values.
