Artificial neural networks for finite element modeling of giant magnetostrictive devices

The author investigates the contribution of artificial neural networks to the improvement of giant magnetostrictive devices nonlinear modeling. In fact, the use of experimental data through artificial neural networks modeling allows the introduction of the magnetostrictive coupling. The proposed model has been tested on a basic magnetostrictive actuator.
