Iterative model-based mixed H/sub 2//H/sub /spl infin// control design

Proposes an iterative scheme for mixed H/sub 2//H/sub /spl infin// control design using an identified model. The purpose of the mixed H/sub 2//H/sub /spl infin// is to combine the traditional H/sub 2/ quadratic performance criterion for disturbance rejection with the H/sub /spl infin// performance criterion for the maximum robustness against destabilizing uncertainties. In the iterative scheme, once the model is identified for the known controller, the controller is designed for the identified model. The paper demonstrates this scheme for the active suspension design in which the traditional performance criterion should be extended with H/sub /spl infin// criterion due to significant uncertainties.
