Can the new EMC Directive, 2014/30/EU, stem the tide of non-compliant products?

Results of market surveillance assessing the compliance of certain product categories with the EMC Directive continue to highlight unacceptably low levels of both technical and administrative compliance. Six years after the New Legislative Framework (NLF) was published, a raft of updated Union acts setting out specific requirements has arrived. Among them is an updated EMC Directive, 2014/30/EU, incorporating provisions aimed at increasing compliance rates by including regulatory responsibilities throughout the supply chain. So what are these new responsibilities and will they make a real difference?
