Modelling of eddy currents applied to human brain

In this paper, the problem of the mathematical modelling of the human brain subjected to AC magnetic field is presented. This is to model a novel therapeutical treatment in psychiatry, namely healing of deep depression. The human brain may be represented by a multilayer structure, each layer of which is described by electric conductivity. Since the conductivities are not of unique value, a special approach which averages these values has been used. The calculations serve to design a coil, its dimensions and supplying parameters, according to medical expectations.
