On the Optimal Pulse Control of an Electric Drive

Results on the application of an optimal control technique in microprocessor-based position control system with a DC motor are presented. The technique is based on the use of optimal control signals corresponding to various "typical" initial conditions, defined during the system design and stored in a look-up table. A numerical procedure for the definition of optimal control signals is proposed.
