A tool to design circuits with statistics

CPSPICE is part of a set of tools intended to help electronic engineers to design, model and simulate complex systems and circuits, based on statistical methods, using the same software and methodology used by High Energy Physics-HEP-data analysis. It simulates electronic circuits by the Monte Carlo method, through several different processes running simultaneously SPICE in UNIX parallel computers or workstation farms under using Cooperative Processes Software-CPS. Data transfer between processes is done by RAM memory for a modified version of SPICE2G6, but can also be done through hard disk files if no source files are available for the simulator, and for bigger simulation output files. Simulation results are written as n-tuple in order to be examined by CERNLIB programs like HBOOK in batch mode or interactively by PAW-Physics Analysis Workstation program. The results can be visualized through histograms and graphics, and analyzed by statistical procedures available like filtering and fitting. Small HBOOK files can be stored on hard disk and larger ones on 8 mm video tapes.
