Proposal for a new domestic automation networking system

In this paper we present the features of the Newcastle University domestic area network (NUDAN)-a newly proposed home automation networking system. The system is designed to produce a highly functional, low cost network, which remains capable of evolving to encompass new ideas and technologies.
