An Adaptive Relaying System For A Power Distribution Network

This paper describes an adaptive relaying system for protecting a power distribution network using overcurrent and directional overcurrent relays. The system is designed to change, in an on-line mode, relay settings as load and generation levels change over a period of days. The system is applied to a reduced model of the 'City of Saskatoon' distribution network.
