Static and dynamical systems approach to engine condition monitoring

The paper focuses on the two general approaches to condition monitoring of systems: static pattern analysis approach and the dynamical systems approach. In each, statistical and neural network methods are considered. The performances of the different methods for the monitoring of the complex gas turbine engine is given.
