Development of electromagnetic methods of printed dipole antenna design

Development of electromagnetic design methods for the radiating devices located in multilayered dielectric structures (MDS), such as microstrip lamellar antennas, printed Yagi antennas, log-periodic dipole antennas, etc., presents an everlasting interest in the modern microwave and millimeter-wave techniques. The paper presents the derivation of the electromagnetic methods for calculating the electric features of a dipole radiator, which is placed in MDS (a basic element of a Yagi antenna). The Feld-Zackson-Vainshtein (1948, 1949, 1988) theory of waveguide excitation is adopted as a basis of the dyadic Green's function derivation.
