Generation of second and third order optical dispersion using nonlinearly chirped silicon waveguide gratings

The simultaneous generation of second and third order dispersion is demonstrated using nonlinearly chirped silicon waveguide gratings. Second order dispersion of -2.3×10⁶ ps/nm/km and third order dispersion of 1.2×10⁵ ps/nm²/km were demonstrated at 1.55μm.
