Fabrication and Characteristic Analysis of Arrayed Electrochromic Display Based on Tertiary Colors

First, the poly(3-methylthiophene) (PMeT) and the polyaniline (PANI) of the conductive polymer electrochromic thin films had been deposited on the indium tin oxide/glass (ITO/Glass) substrate by cyclic vltammetry (CV) and applied to electrochromic display (ECD) were investigated with different molarity electrolyte solutions to obtain optimal parameters in order to improve homogeneous and reversible deposition. Second, the PMeT and PANI thin films were investigated with different scan rates of deposition to obtain optimal parameters in order to improve property and applied to ECD. The optical, electrical and color properties of PMeT and PANI thin films were analyzed by using ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectroscopy, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), CV measurement system, and micro spectroscopy. The ECD which with PMeT thin film fabricated at 200 mV/s (sample PMeT200) has the highest transmittance variation ( \triangle T450 nm=15 % and \triangle T650 nm = 40 %) and the response time are 14 s (T450 nm) and 15 s (T650 nm), respectively. The CIE 1931 chromaticity coordinates of ECD which with PMeT thin film fabricated at 200 mV/s (sample PMeT200) has the best shape of tracks. The PANI thin film fabricated at 200 mV/s (samplePANI200) has the highest transmittance variation (\triangle T550 nm = 24 %). The CIE 1931 chromaticity coordinates of PANI thin film fabricated at 200 mV/s (sample PANI200) has the best shape of tracks.
