Image Navigation Directory For Distributing High And Uniform Quality Images To Video Display Terminals

An image database management system has been constructed utilizing an image navigation directory. The image navigation directory (JND) has a new function of distributing uniformly high quality images to video display terminals (VDTs) which generally have different display characteristics. The new function of the IND is to convert stored images such as natural pictures and character images to the images of high quality and less fatigue respectively when they would be displayed on user's VDTs.
