Detection of multiple sinusoids buried in noise via balanced model truncation

In this paper we examine the problem of detecting and enhancing multiple sinusoidal tones buried in noise, employing an ARMA-like model based approach, but without the non-linear optimizations. The ARMA-like models are generated through the use of the Balanced Model Truncation (BMT) method-a powerful filter approximation technique.
