Real-time imaging of kinetics of 180/spl deg/ domains in ferroelectric LiTaO/sub 3/ crystals for integrated optics

Summary form only given. For the first time, we have recorded a real-time video of nucleating and growing 180 degree domains at room temperature in ferroelectric LiTaO/sub 3/ crystals under an external electric field using a nondestructive polarized light microscopy technique.
