H/sub /spl infin// fault-tolerance control for linear time delay systems

The paper focuses on the problem of H/sub /spl infin// fault-tolerance control design for linear time delay systems in the event of actuator failure. Based on the positive definite solution of the modified algebraic Riccati equation, sufficient and necessary conditions are obtained for H/sub /spl infin// static state feedback controller stabilizing the closed loop time delay systems independently of the time delay. Furthermore, the authors give an analytic representation for such a controller. Finally, a numerical example is given to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed approach.
