A data warehouse for performance management of distributed systems

Automating the performance management of a large distributed system requires database support for efficiently navigating large volumes of measurement data collected about the operation of the system and for performing analyses of that data. We argue that this database support can be best provided by a data warehouse and we describe a prototype of such a system.
