Properties of plasma waves defined by the dispersion relation

This paper reviews four experimentally measured properties of waves which propagate in a media which has a dispersion relation
$D(k, w) = 1 - {{w^{2}_{o} \over w^{2}} + {k^{2}_{o} \over k^{2}}} = 0$
where w

are characteristics of the media. We examine a transmission line, ion acoustic waves and electron plasma surface waves and find similarity in the properties. Differences that are found are also explained.
