Time ratio control (TRC) scheme for a DC series motor Part II: Commutation circuit analysis

In part I, the chopper with time-ratio-control scheme has been considered as an ideal switch and the effects of commutation circuit have been neglected. In this part, the chopper circuit is analyzed in detail by a modern technique. The effects of the commutation circuit parameters on the successful operation of the circuit and on the torque-speed characteristics are investigated. Experimental results are in agreement with the theoretical results.
