Stability and performance of a new linear adaptive controller

In this paper, we introduce a new adaptive control design approach that combines a backstepping control law and a normalized adaptive law via certainty equivalence. The resulting controller is linear, and guarantees computable performance bounds that can be systematically improved, despite the use of error normalization.
