UHF-RFID tag antenna with miniaturization techniques

This paper presents the design of a compact UHF-RFID tag antenna with several miniaturization techniques including meandering technique and capacitive tip-loading structure. Additionally, T-matching technique is also utilized in the antenna design for impedance matching. of 2.2. The performance of the proposed antenna was analyzed in terms of matched impedance, antenna gain, return loss and tag reading range through the simulation in CST Microwave Studio software. As a result, the proposed antenna obtained a gain of 0.97dB and a maximum reading range of 5.15 m at 921 MHz.
