Characterizations of temporal variations in atmospheric water vapor

Microwave radiometer measurements of temporal variations in the amount of atmospheric water vapor are characterized by using "structure functions". The power-law indexes of the functions for time lags in the range 1-8 h are approximately 1.0, while a model predicts the value 2/3.
