Electrical engineering aspects of nuclear reactor safety

Nuclear reactor safety requirements are extremely rigorous and uncompromising. Strict reactor criteria can he satisfied only if the reactor power supply and control system meet a similar set of criteria. The problems arising in the electric network when these criteria are applied to a dual-purpose reactor supplying steam to a large electric power generating plant are discussed.
