Formulates an extended H/sub /spl infin// control problem for generalized plants having unstable weights and gives the complete solution to this problem by introducing a new notion of comprehensive stability. The H/sub /spl infin// servo and filtering problems are re-examined in the light of the extended H/sub /spl infin// control concept.
