System for classifying rocks by using artificial vision and a robot arm

The purpose of this paper is to present the first stage in the development of a system that classifies the rocks that feed the grinding process in a concentration plant. The idea is to use a sensor that determines the size of the rocks, and a robot that extracts them from a conveyor belt when they are too big to be ground.
