Lithium polymer batteries-the next generation power source

This paper is the first of a series describing the development of a new battery technology designed for use as a reserve power source in telecommunications applications. The new battery is comprised of a lithium anode, a solid polymeric film electrolyte and a metallic oxide cathode and is referred to as a lithium polymer battery (LPB).
