Using attitude measurement to validate consultant-taught writing courses

Measurement of the effectiveness of a writing course is especially important to those who hire consultants to teach their employees. This paper presents a method of evaluating participants' skill improvement by means of measuring their attitudes toward writing tasks before and after taking a consultant-taught course, and shows sample results of such pre- and posttest analyses.
