Patent guidelines for research managers

This information has been prepared for research managers to provide a general insight into some of the basic considerations underlying corporate patent policy. The intent is to generally highlight the more frequently encountered patent related issues which arise during day-to-day activities in the corporate environment. It is important that managers become familiar with these issues and some of the related terminology discussed on the following pages. These issues are briefly discussed and expose only the surface of some of the very intricate and complex matters confronted by attorneys engaged in the practice of patent law.
