Hybrid integration of coherent receivers for Terabit Ethernet on SOI waveguide PLC

We present a new coherent receiver platform integrating low-loss SOI PLC technology with high-speed vertically illuminated InGaAs photodiodes. Performance & ease of assembly make this an attractive candidate for Tb/s Ethernet.
