Best transactions paper award of the IEEE control systems society

The Best Transactions Paper Award of the IEEE Control Systems Society, for the best paper to appear in Volumes 21 and 22 of the IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, was presented to Anthony N. Michel and Robert D. Rasmussen at the 1978 Conference on Decision and Control (held in January 1979 in San Diego, CA) for their paper "Stability of Interconnected Dynamical Systems Described on Banach Spaces", which appeared in the August 1976 issue.
