Editorial: Impact Factor and Outstanding Paper Awards

The IEEE Transactions on Autonomous Mental Development (TAMD) was established in 2009 to support interdisciplinary researches in natural and artificial intelligence. Thompson Reuters has recently published the 2011 Journal Citation Report, and it includes the first ever impact factor (IF) for IEEE TAMD, which is 2.310. This is an excellent start for our Journal, and the EiC would like to thank everyone for their support and look forward to readers' continuous support. He asks that readers read, download, and cite, when appropriate, as many papers published in the IEEE TAMD as possible, and encourage others to do so and to submit your own work to IEEE TAMD. Finally, he shares the progress made in establishing the IEEE TAMD Outstanding Paper Award to annually recognize outstanding papers published in the IEEE TAMD.
