A simplified stopping criterion for BICM-ID system

iteration of the soft-input soft-output (SISO) decoder. Simulation results comparing the proposed scheme with the widely used cross-entropy (CE) stopping criterion show that although a little more iteration than CE, the proposed scheme can get coding gains at medium signal to noise ratios (SNRs) and high SNRs as compensation. What's more, the proposed new criterion doesn't need any exponential computation, which has greatly reduced the complex computation in the BICM-ID receiver.
