Real time power system model validation using archived data

This paper presents the experiences in enhancement of Energy Management System (EMS) real time model, development and implementation of an application and methodologies to validate the EMS model at Vermont Electric Power Company (VELCO), a ‘transmission only’ company in Vermont and a Local Control Center (LCC) for Independent System Operator in New England (ISO-NE).
