Digital servo processing in the Venus PRML read/write channel

A digital servo processing system within the Venus PRML read/write channel is described. The processor provides for closed loop DC offset and gain control, robust digital peak detection, and integration of up to six servo bursts. Incorporated features optimize performance with asymmetric MR heads.
