Effect of thickness on the transparency of nanocomposited MEH-PPV:CNTs:TiO2 thin film

Our work focuses on nanocomposited poly [2-methoxy, 5-(2'-ethyl-hexyloxy)-phenylenevinylene] (MEH-PPV) blend with carbon nanotube (CNTs) and titanium dioxide (TiO
₂
). The conductivity under illumination of the nanocomposited MEH-PPV:CNTs:TiO
₂
thin film was investigated with the thickness increased. The conductivity showed decrement in value from 6.7 × 10
^-6
to 0.6 × 10
^-6
S/m as the thickness increased. Mean while, the UV-vis spectra films at room temperature (300 K) showed a transmittance peak at 500 - 510 nm. The transmittance peaks reduced from 65 T% to 10 T% as the thickness increased while the optical band gap increased from 1.9, 2.0, 2.05 and 2.1 eV.
