Research on the college English autonomous learning in the context of multimedia computer technology

This paper is to employ the multimedia technology to support the college English learners' autonomous learning. In this paper, great attention has been given to students' awareness and attitude towards autonomous learning in the context of computer-based multimedia college English teaching at Henan University of Urban Construction of China by adopting a survey method. The experimental result shows that integrating multimedia technology into College English Teaching and learning has become one of the efficient ways of improving students' abilities. With the help of the multimedia technology college English learners' autonomous learning is gradually breaking the traditional pattern of teaching and learning mode.
