Experirnental and theoretical studies of spraying system of the swirl-liquid jet

This paper presents atomizing mecchanism of the swirl-liquid jet. The calculating equation of the swirl fluid. inside the sprayer and swirl-liquid jet outside the sprayer are established by Navier-Stokes hydromechanics equations. Adopting to some hypothetic condition for velocities inthe small element bodies, the solutions of the velocities and pressure are obtained. The atomization theory of the swirl-liquid jet is studied and main factor influencing atomization are discussed. Through a series of experiments conducted on spraying devices, the spraying states of minute droplet and very small droplet (fog) are observed, atomization angle is measured and the relationship between swirl-liquid jet diameter and different water pressure is determined. At the end of this paper, examples are cited as to where spraying devices were beiag used to solve industrially removing the dust and spraying insecticide of the farming and gardens etc.
