Increasing the current density of light-induced thermionic electron emission from carbon nanotube arrays

The current density of light-induced electron emission using a low-powered laser is measured. By placing a small amount of isopropyl alcohol on the arrays we show that we can increase the current density by 4 times. We also show that the emission current remains stable even up to low vacuum conditions of ~ 10

torr.
