WWW and Java-based distributed examination system for distance learning applications

A distributed distance examination system is presented which uses Java for secure communications and extensions of HTML towards more complex forms of input. This system allows simultaneous examination of multiple candidates in a global class. The concepts are critically analysed both technically and in the context of educational technology.
