The influence of lean combustion and EGR on combustion and emissions of gasoline engine

Lean combustion and EGR were investigated on the performance and emissions of a four cylinder gasoline engine in part load. The results revealed that the ISFC and NO
X
emissions could be reduced by EGR and lean combustion. Considering the infections on combustion, lean combustion was better than EGR.
